This website is starting to feature some bad tattoos

17 messages · last activity 5/8/2006

I used to come here a while back and breeze through the tattoo section, and find work only by good artists, who had put up pictures of clean and solid tattoos. Now its like this place is getting junked up. Seriously, Im not one to complain, but a lot of work being put up here isnt that good at all. The lines are shaky, shading techniques arent that good, and just overall bad drawings. Im not complaining because these guys (and girls) havent never been heard of....because there are a lot of folks that arent well known banging out good tattoos. But some of the shit Im starting to see on this website just irritates me. Whoever is running the show needs to clean up before this site becomes over ran with so-so tattoos.
uhoh..............take cover!
Funny you say that, I couldn't be prouder of the artists we represent. I crap my pants every few days because the tattoos are so good and I am very thankful to every artist who supports this site, no matter where they are with their career. I mean, it seems to me things keep getting kicked up a notch... We will be expanding our members area in the future to include "favorite artist" and "smart" galleries because there are tons of updates and I bet most people dont check back eighty million times a day like I do... heh. Thanks for sticking around.
Yeah well it also features some of the best tattoos in existance!
Well after reading this post, I wasnt going to touch this with a 10ft pole, but... since Im having a shitty day anyways here it goes. This is the part of the industry I loath! People like this judging artist, whos better than who, who does better color work etc.. I am postitive that each and every artist that has art work on here put thier heat and soul in the pieces they post. Hell you might even of put me in the group?Beauty is in the art of the beholder, one mans trash is one mans treasure. Im sure the artist and the person wearing the art are very proud of it. If you dont like the stuf on here dont pull up the website anymore. By the way Gabe puts100% into this site, and my two cents worth he doing a great job......
the only part of this website I see going downhill is the forum...
haha!
If the forum is deteriorating maybe its because YOU don't post on it HMMMMM?
ANd hey JONES.....Got any ideas how to improve the forum for real?
BTW...Vinny B...Of all the tattoos on this site I don't think ANYONE would ever deem yours as substandard in ANY fuggin way!!...Its nice to see an artist of your caliber that has a humble attitude...maybe that will rub off on some of the other artists huh? And your post made a lot of sense...thanks for your thoughts!...TAz
I think its simple. Buy a HUGE sever and build a BETTER site of your own? Can do whatever you want there. I think I"LL stay here though. Thank you.
Thanks Taz, you made my day a little better!
no that was just a bad joke...i can post alot more of those if you want, but I dont think that would make the forum better
Ah ...so saying the forum is going downhill was a joke?...Jeeez ya had me worried!
This dudes an ass. While you may think that some of the new artists featured don't measure up- ok thats your opinion BUT what about some of the other new artists now on the site...? Nikko, Mike Demasi, Dean Brockert, Mike Devries, Jason Ackerman, etc.. are all quality! As for the forum, i think most of the content is great and informative but it kind of gets hard to navigate after a while and posts seem to get buried... It would be nice to have more of a formal forum with different sections, etc. Not trying to be rude here Gabe, just a suggestion. I own a website with a forum and i think one like ours would be a real nice addition to tattoonow. If ya wanted to take a look at ours, the addie is http://www.clubhunt.com/forum/index.php Cheers...
Man, we are so busy cranking out websites that the forum gets put on the back burner. Things are getting organized around here and you can believe that we will massage TattooNOW into one of the leading tattoo social networks in existence. But, like anything tattoo or computer, patience is a virtue.
