Tipping my tattoo artist?

Alright so I'm about to get my first tattoo and I'm wondering if and I should tip my tattoo artist? If so how much?

Yes you should tip...the amount is up to you but id say $20 tip for every 100 dollars the tattoo is

Hey thanks, I wasn't sure if I should or how the amount was decided. How do I go about leaving a tip? I can't just leave it on the table like at a restaurant. Do I just give the tip to him/her after I pay for the tattoo?

How about just adding the tip to the cost of the tattoo when you pay and just say "thanks".

In America it is customary to tip the artist. $20 on a hundred is a good guide, I wouldnt tip much less than a twenty. Tips are just that, tips. Hopefully your artist does such a good job you will want to tip heavy... Hopefully you wont feel like that jerk doesnt deserve a penny extra!
