Hey! I read the last thread on toe tattooing and learned a lot, but here are a few more questions I had, if anyone happens to know.
Okay! So I know that toe tattoos have a tendency to fade, but I REALLY want the Japanese symbol for freedom on the top of my big toe (in black). It actually consists of two symbols. I was thinkin one above the knuckle and one below the knuckle. I really want that tattoo, but I really don't want something that will fade in a short period of time.
So here are a few of my questions:
1. Will it fade even though I usually go barefoot or wear flip flops?
2. If I go to an exceptionally well-known artist will it help the chances of not fading?
3. Is there a certain place on your toe that is less likely to fade, besides just the top, like a certain place on the top?
These might sound stupid, but I was just curious

If you go to a good artist, the biggest factor will be your skin. And unfortunately, It's difficult to know how big a factor your skin will be until your artist is actually tattoing on it.
The skin on the feet is very difficult to tattoo compared to most places on the body, and it varies greatly from person to person. Find a good artist, look through their portfolio, ask questions. Ask them how they've seen their work heal on feet. Tell them what you want, and see how responsive they are to the idea.
Tattoos will last forever, it's ok to take your time researching and finding the perfect artist for your needs. there could be an artist in your area that has a higher than average record with toe/feet tattoos.
