i got my first big tattoo on my left upper thigh. and I wanted to keep her protected so i used lots of a&d well i broke out in red bumps. silly me. the tattoo itself doesnt have but maybe one it is all around the tat. and of course i'm messing with them and scratching it. so I took benadryl to stop itching them and been washing with soap. anything else? the tat is now nine days old.

don't worry it's nothing u did your trying to keep it clean thats good it all depeands on the brand of a&dyou use but it all depends on how much u use dont apply so much on the tat you have to let it breath some times wash it every time you apply the ontment so the bumps will go away it's just a rash just keep it clean
keep the ink flowing
well i layered it over and over thick too. my b/f said i was smothering it. the red bumps are all over my thigh now only like 2 or three on tat which i have no messed with. some have tiny pin hole white areas but thats about it. this is the biggest tat and the ones i have wanted the most. i am no longer using a&d and no longer using dial which i so didn't know was a no no and now just using a no name antibacterial soap here and there but mainly keeping her dry. i need to be filled in a few spots but when its a 9 inch tat thats normal you can't get it 100% perfect. but i so hope the red bumps go away now that i am leaving them alone and not messing with them,
oh and the brand of a&d was..the gold and white box like for baby rashes and such. ive used to before but never so much i think i suffocated the tat
first back off the ointment a tattoo 9 plus days should be fine with non scented lotion. you goobered tooooo much on. the bumps can be cloged pores, hairs growing in, more than likely one of those 2.or a reaction to the ointment. wash twice a day and VERY THIN coat of lotion or ointment.after scabbing if any and flaking it will get shiny apperance simulation process body and skin accepting tattoo and then just regular ol lotion will be fine when needed.try not to pick at any soars. keep it clean untuil skin is back to norm. also thigh area clothing rubbing it can cause a small surface abrasion system.
i havent used any thing for a cpl days now. and ive been wearing skirts or loose pants or nothing lol..so yeah ty
