Could be done successfully either way but I wouldn't mix styles if you are going traditional wih the anchor do the same with the heart
nah man, like Taz said keep it traditional, go sailor all the way..again this is just personal taste. You will carry the tattoo do what makes you feel comfortable.
The good thing about Tradition is that it (almost) never goes out of Style. Hope my opinion helps.
so the ventricle heart is your guys choice?
bump
I think they're saying traditional (valentine's day) kind of heart.
The kind with ventricles would be more realistic, no? And I agree... keep the style consistent. I love old school style tattoos.
Well, I hate to buck the trend, but personally I love realistic tattoos... while of course tradition is important, I tend to work with artists who are pushing the boundaries... to me, truely unique pieces of art never go "out of style"... In any event, this tattoo will be seeped with tradition because of the subject matter no matter what style.
A fair call, Gabe, but dependant upon obtaining the services of a boundary-pushing artist. If in doubt, I would err on the side of conservatism and go with the classics rather than taking the chance of ending up with something which....well, let's just say that there are a lot of people whose artistic reaches exceeds their grasps. But I agree entirely with your argument.
