Hey guys...
I need some real translations here. Dont just look it up on word reference or something...I have already tried.
What Im looking for is "Life is Beautiful" is spanish and/or Italian...which I believe roughly translates to "La Vida e Bella" in Spanish or "VIDA ES BELLA" in Italian....
Is this right?
Also, I was looking for something like "Death is promised" or "Death is destiny" in those languages. Or a popular saying...
Any help please??
thanks

hi, Lindsay Lohan called and says back off her shit dawg.
What in the F are you talking about?
Lindsay Lohan has this same tattoo??
BTW...I would be getting one of the absolute best artists on the east coast (and world for that matter) to do it....so big fucking deal if she has the same lettering. My ENTIRE PIECE will look completely different.

okay...I see now that this chick has the same LETTERING.
A piss porr job...but somewhat the same lettering.
Mine is going to be freaked with some beautiful roses, a old traditional girls head done by Seth Cifferi (tattoo circles around you) with a banner than reads
"Life is Beautiful"
Then later on Im going to get a day of the day skull with a banner that reads
"death is promised"
both on my forearms to sort of create a fusion.
Im just trying to find correct translations
ok, but think about it, everyone is going to think that you are copying lindsay lohan till that broad od's or catches the hiv and everyone forgets about it. i would definitely think about something else for a while.
Life is Beautiful:
Spanish: La vida es Hermosa
Italian: La vita è Bella
Death is Promised:
Spanish: La muerte se Promete
Italian: La morte è Promessa
Death is Destiny:
Spanish: La muerte es el Destino
Italian: La morte è il Destino
Found the translations on this website: http://www.freetranslation.com/
Hope that helps....Best of luck....J
actually in italian La vita e bella translates to " The life is beautiful"
if you just write "Vita e Bella" this would be closer to what you are looking for..
Trust me I come from an italian household..we speak it fluently and frequently...and if someone said La vita e bella it would be the same as soemone saying in english THE life is beautiful..as if they were talking about a certain lifestyle as opposed to just life in general...
So..Life is beautiful = Vita e Bella
The life is beautiful= La vita e Bella
La vita è bella
thats italian for life is beautiful im italian and speak it and thats what it is
Just my opinions on translations, why put it in a language you don't speak? Like kanji or hyroglyphs? Do you just like the way it reads? Appears? Is it part of your racial heritage perhaps? Or do you just wanna be different and therefore "cool"?
Just a curiosity question I guess. Alot of people do it and I don't think most of them have a good reason why. It usually doesn't go with the flow of their desired tattoo in most situations. THey want something unique and meaningful but they'll throw in words in a language that means nothing to them that comes from a culture they know next to nothing about. Maybe that's not your case or the case of some. But I'm sure I don't stand alone when I say there's a million wannabe hipsters running around with their names or something like love, destiny, life, pain , anger, insert emotion, tattooed in kanji. And above all it's probably the only word they'd ever recognize in Kanji. I feel it really turns a unique tattoo into something not so unique at all.
IN DEFENSE OF THE KANJI (kinda):
i think kanji, with it's bold, solid black lines and symbolic nature, make beautiful tattoos (at least to the western eye). It looks especially good on darker skin tones. not that i plan on getting any myself, i'm just sayin...
When i see kanji tattoos, i usually admire without asking the meaning because it's probably wrong or stupid.
haha i'm actually planning on getting the same tattoo. vita e bella. lindsay lohan has la bella vita which is the beautiful life. vita e bella is life is beautiful. and no im not italian but i LOVE europe and italy is a gorgeous place and the language is gorgeous too.
Hi,
Italian: La vita e bella
Hei,
Check this out. Highly recommended as this company always gets 2 translators to do name translation and tattoo design in any language: one to translate and the other to proofread. Wouldn't have any probs!!

F%&# EVERYONE, GET WHAT YOU LIKE!!!
I like the saying. I think that getting artist input on what you are doing is a great idea. So pick an artist, and then ask them.
