Unhappy with the color!! Help me!

Hi, I recently got 2 black tattoos... They looked perfect at first but now they're peeling and look more darkgrey than black. Why is that? I want them to be black, not grey. Does anyone know?? Thanks
try letting them heal all the way and settle into the skin. All tattoos go through several stages while healing and most all black tattoo designs look greyish after the peel. I have learned that very black coverage you sometimes should have the tribal hit 2 - 3 times to insure maximum ink coverage. Use a non-scented dry skin lotion and just use that on your new tattoo to give it a little moisture but after a little while the tattoo will look like it was meant to be there unless the work wasn't totally solid (which is common in some tribal) so just wait and go back once the healing is done to be sure both you and the artist are happy with the piece. Peace, Drake
Keep in mind also that the tattoo will never be as black as the day you got it because a new layer of skin grows over the tattoo, thus dulling the black a shade or 2. When it's fresh, the skin is open and you see the pigment just settling into the skin, and there is nothing on top of it, that's why it's so black at first.
