Watch Those NURSES!!!!!

The CDC ( centers for disease control) estimate that over 70 % of all "serious"infections are contracted from medical staff in hospitals doctors offices etc!! THINK ABOUT THAT!!! In my last visit to the hospital the very worst culprits were the doctors themselves followed closely by nurses. I was in the local emergency room two nights ago ...I saw a male nurse opening some eyedrops for a guy who had a splinter in his eye...this nurse had been to two rooms before hand (and probably more) WITHOUT washing his fucking hands! Then opened the box and when he opened the eye dropper it was in a cellohane bag, he opened it with his teeth!!!!...I RAISED HELL!! I am not a snitch but that patient deserved better care than that....Well he got a different nurse who actually washed her hands but then started to use the same almost certainly contaminated bottle of eyedrops on this guy!!! So I raised hell about THAT too!...Lemme tel ya they were glad to see me go!!...The guy ended up having his wife drive him to a different hospital for care and I bet they were very observant at the new hospital. And this lackadaisical, inept and DANGEROUS care is common! When ya go to a hospital dentist whatever if there could be BBCS present or any danger of cross contamination KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN!!!! Almost ANY professional tattoo artist would NEVER have committed these ridiculous mistakes........TAz

I think the reason the most serious strains of staph are found in hospitals is because they've been overly sanitized, causing the bacteria to change, strengthen, and adapt......................besides, I always watch the nurses, at least the female ones. It's the only thing that makes the whole experience tolerable. TCE

And people wonder why I get so pissed when uninformed idiots take pot shots at Tattoo Artist!!! Taz, once again a very important post and it's certainly one EVERYONE needs to be aware of-'cuz your fucking life can depend on it, no joke. Sucks even more, if they expose you to sort of the nasty shit they KNOW they should be aware of and that it can be spread thru not being properly careful, you can take it home and possibly spread it to your love ones. I read awhile back that about 100,000 people die per year in the USA from POSTOP infections, infections they got AFTER the surgery and due to negligence of the part of the HOSPITAL staff. I made a sick anology,'doctor's are the only fuckups I know that can bury their mistakes'.. Personally. I try like hell not to go to those places (Clinics can be as bad- if not worse) And, again as Taz stated, there ain't any COMPETENT, PROPERLY trained Tattoo Artist nowadays that would every be so negligent. And the Medical Profession looks down on US. College educated FUCKING MORONS. As you might sense, this is a touchy subject with me. I KNOW people who have lost loved ones due to their negligence and some, far too damn young to have died from the 'complications' of what was SUPPOSED to save 'em and the bitch of it, they still got paid. Like Taz, I watch like a fucking hawk when I do have the misfortune of HAVING to go to a doctor/hospital or take my son to one. I've had nurses who tried to draw blood from my little guy without washing their hands or putting on gloves and, as some of you might know about me, I have NO problem getting them straight and I'm only marginally polite about it and I'm NEVER quiet about it either, I make sure others hear it and why. The thing that gets me so fucking angry is THESE people should KNOW better. BE Careful folks, there's some serious dangerous shit out there and ya can't even see the shit...Doc

Baker, Be glad you're not paying for them to fuck you up!!!! I don't pay for health care, and therefore, I have none.............but I'll tell you, if there's one thing I've learned this year, it's that nothing adds more insult to injury than actually paying for it yourself!!!!!! I guess it's pretty stupid to even get tattooed when I have no health care......................... Luv ya! TCE

the last time i had blood drawn the fuckin nurse did not put on gloves ...until i said ..."what are you not going to put on gloves " she actually looked at me like I was crazy.............??
