What are the best media to use for drawing Flash?

4 messages · last activity 11/30/2005

I'm new to this website and new to the world of tattooing, but am looking to build up a body of work in order to eventually (hopefully,,, somewhere soon down the line) practice the art. I have been working on Flash only in black and white (pencil, pen and ink)... what are the industry standards or usual material used? Markers? Colored Pencils? Thanks for any feedback, Daniel
try here (hope I'm not committing a faux pas here by refering another site...): http://www.tattooflash.info/tattootalk/index.php There is a section for flash artist tips...read first though, just about every question you might have has already been asked and they can get snarky there if you come off looking too lazy to look for yourself.... Good luck.
here is what i use.for small pieces i just get the card stock paper works real well its consiticey is 100# for the larger pieces i recomened bristol 100# paper as far as color pencils get ready to drop a little cash and get yourself PRISMA COLOR pencils. they are a little pricy but well worth it belive me, as far as markers hummm not too sure there seeing as i dont use them.best of luck to ya if ya have any other questions ask and see what i can help with though i will not answer any technical questions and such but let us know how its going for ya and welcome aboard have fun and paece (don) hey caribou i e mailed ya some info by the way later all
Thank you caribou and erlich. I will check out the link you gave as well as the specific material (erlich) suggestions. I've heard from a few others that Prismacolor is the best way to go. Thanks again, I'm much appreciative.
