what happened

just wondering this may be a question geared more for a sight owner (gabe) or mod. but there was a posting of running out of women to date it was a post that really riped tatto apart and if i read it corecctly it was in the form of a opion i replied to it but now it is gone any info on this would be nice was it a post of too much negativity or politics or what? just wondering thanks don

A troll is someone who goes onto a message-board, uses a friend or enemies name and writes a really really insensitive post that is guaranteed to piss off everyone on the board who reads it. All those pissed off people then get mad at the poster, who is not really the poster but the butt of the joke, and that person is barraged with stupid messages from really insulted people. Its pretty childish and I don't know why people do it. The easiest thing to do is just take em down and not make a big deal. The troll will move onto other boards once they don't really get the reaction they want. The emotion behind the hatred to tattoos was pretty systematic. I felt really weird about having a post about hatred for tattooed women. Honestly if it wasn't a troll I bet it was bait to to see what I would censor. Either way, it wasn't a post that helped us help our visitors. i replied to it but now it is gone any info on this would be nice Your reply and the other persons were great. Im afraid that that post was not going to do much good if it stayed around, and in the end it was hate speech. There are plenty of other boards where its ok. was it a post of too much negativity or politics or what? We have had a practically unmoderated message-board for years and years. Its really amazing that we havn't had to make everyone register so every post was coming from someone we could track down. We have a few common sense rules about who can or cant post on our board, and it really is a testament to you guys that it remains that way. If we were to have a posted regulations, hate speech would not be permitted along with flame bait, spamming, and other "internet forum offenses". At some point we will have to get that list together but there is not enough time in the day and we do really well policing ourselves I think. just wondering thanks don thanks for your participation. We have been pretty lucky to not have many of the common troubles that plague messageboards. Lets hope it lasts! Heres a link all about internet trolls. The new studio is going great, this week a lot of progress should be made. December 11th is the opening party, and hopefully we will be tattooing there in a few weeks. Thanks for the kind words!

I think when people come on the board as trolls its because they have way to much time on thier hands and little brain cell activity so i am glad the negative post was removed.

I replied to the said post, I kept it polite because that guy to me must of had some serious hang ups about women and I could not see the point in antagonising him.
