The day I turned 18, I went out and got my first tattoo. It's roses, about 5 inches wide and 5-6 inches heigh. full colored. see, what I didn't know is I would become an addict to tattoos. 19 now haha, If I wasn't broke I would probably have alot more.
My question(s):
1. Is it to big to get covered?
2. If so what can I do with it?
It takes up alot of space and I'm stumped of what to do. I was thinking of maybe having some portraits of some sort. but then again, I'm really really into drawing cartoons. so thats another choice. orrrrrr should I just add too it little by little.
I'm only going for half sleeves on both arms.

It's only been 1 year and you already want to cover all of that up. I'd seriously wait another 5 or 6 years to really settle into who you are before making more mistakes. On paper it says you're an adult, but in reality your mind is still seeking its own identity. Give it some time.
well, the story behind the roses is shot to hell. everytime i look at it now, I just get pissed. but i understand what you mean about not covering it up.
but is it possible with it being so big and with the reds/yellows/ black?
and still dont have a clue with portraits or original cartoonish style...
Once again Krystof and I are in complete agreement...You have already made one mistake...don't make another. And yes a competent artist could cover it up but I wouldn't just go to any ol artist. See someone who specializes in covering and camoflage. And don't pass out when ya get the price quote dude!! It ain't gonna be cheap.Any more questions just e mail me...TAz
I take it the roses symbolize something to you that now has gone wrong or what not.
My opinion as a person who gets tattoo's is that its a beautiful tattoo and in my opinion I would just add on to it. Its a pretty good size tattoo and might be hard to cover up with something that would satisfy you and hell yeah its going to cost ALOT..I had just a little bear on my arm and it cost me $175 to cover up and that was over 5yrs ago. But if you really want to cover it up just make sure its an artist that is really good at what they do, like they said.
Well Liz you and I agree on this one dear...By what I can see it looks like it was not a bad piece.....I'm sure any competent artist could twist it up for him...unless of couse the memories surrounding the tattoo are just too intense (in a negative way) Then the only choices are; cover up,laser removal ar belt sander!...TAz
Can you imagine that Taz and I agreeing on something..lol..but hell i wouldnt mind a tattoo like that one myself
I have a big ass tattoo on my leg Im getting lasered. After hitting it a few times I'll have a lot more options. Your best course of action will be thus. Do these two things at the same time... imagine you can put anything there you wanted and research and find the best artist fit for the job. Ask them what needs to happen to make it a reality. If you really want something new over that you will need to invest your time in research and learning about the possibilities, then getting the artist, possibly finding an excellent laser guy, and paying for it all. fixing tattoo mistakes is costly, but hey, some of us made mistakes over and over and over. The thing is, just make damn sure you do it perfect next time.
