What to look for?

What should I look for and ask about when it comes to a tattoo parlor? I am most concerned about sterilization, etc. I want to make sure my first experience is in a clean reputable place.

What area? We know great tattoo people all over. Sterilization is very inportant. So is the quality of the artist, and how well youve done your homeowork. What type of tattoo?
