what was your first tattoo

what was your first tattoo, where on your body did you get it done and for what reason did you get it and what did it mean?? anyone reply.
Myfirst tattoo was a kanji symbol on the center of my chest. It means prayer.
I got a tiny little dove on my ankle because I couldnt afford the parrot they had on the wall when I was 17. Now getting lasered!
I got a realistic looking scene of a sun rise coming up over mountains. I got it because my wife's name is Dawn. It is on my upper arm.
I got a rose with a banner with the word Mom and the year she was born and this year when she died. Its on my left shoulder and its in her honor.
My first was a cross with my initials in it on my shoulderblade. In retrospect, i really didnt have any solid reason for getting it but i always wanted that to be my first one.
My first tattoo was a cross on my lower back. It is gothic and totally awesome; black and grey with red accents. I got it because when I was 10 and my brother was 12, my dad told my brother that if he wanted to get a tattoo when he was 18 he would pay for it. When I turned 18, I went to my dad and asked for my tattoo money. He told me that girls don't get tattoos and that I should stop living in the future. So, I said fuck you, got my first tattoo, the next year, I got another, and so on. When I turned 22 I got married to my tattoo artist and in the last ten months since we got married I have gotten 13 tattoos, 1 branding, and 9 piercings. LOL! It is funny how things snowball. My dad hasn't seen me in about 6 months, so he has no idea that I have all of these tattoos, piercings, and branding. :) They are my pride and joy and I would never remove a single one of them. They all have very personal, very important meanings for me. Each one marks an important time, event, or emotion in my life. My favorite tattoo, if anyone cares, is a Japanese kanji collar that says purity, harmony, life, love, heart, wife, mother. The life cycle of a woman. Everytime I get dressed or undressed or look in a mirror, I can see it and it gives me the greatest joy to know that I have the self pride to wear my identity visibly on my body.
My first tat was of three inter-locking greek letters at the very top of my arm. The letters are alpha and omega (beginning and end) with a Tau in the center. As with most of my tattoo's, it is a family thing... to remind me of those who had the most influence in shaping my life.
kanji symbol for music on my chest - that was before I knew about custom tattooing
"no love hoes" script below my collar bone cuz i had just had a bad breakup with one
lol at least you will have yourself branded as to who you will not date any more. smart move hope you dont have to have it removed or covered up after you cool down from the break up
My first tattoo was the word "SKILLZ" across the middle of my very lower back. If anyone has heard the song "(She's Got) Skillz" by All-4-One, you know the deal. I had it done at Designs by Dana when I was 18.
My first tattoo was a pair of angel wings below my hip that i got on my 18th birthday the day before i went skydiving for the first time. they were for protection then and i still see them that way.
mine was two kanji symbols, one on the right sholder(awareness) and the other on the left(serpent)
Great question! My first tattoo was a fantastic image of a celtic thistle done by Lou Jacque for my 21st birthday. The tattoo has quite a bit of meaning for me because it is the National Emblem of Scotland (as you may have guessed, I'm Scottish - actually, of Scottish descent, to be more accurate). Since then, I have begun working for TattooNOW and have plans for two more very large, very personal tattoos. I love my job, especially when I feel like I have been able to help someone have a very positive experience with their tattoo (first or otherwise), just like I had with mine! Can't wait 'til May when I can focus more of my attention on TattooNOW!
My first was a Lion Rampant in a black tribal style designed by an Toronto artist. Looking to get a similar thistle one and i'm inspired by Maggie's posted on this topic. Thinking of something a little more abstract- less defined. If any one has any ideas let me know. Aw ra best!!
I am so flattered that my tattoo inspired you! My advice to you in terms of your idea is to find an artist whose work you love, let them know your idea, and have them draw something up for you (that's what I did). Good luck! You'll have to let us know how it turns out after you have it done!
i got an Icons of Filth tattoo on my left forearm as my first professional piece the day i turned 18. its an anrachy symbol incorporated into a star with tribal triangle things going around it. my first stick and poke was a black star on my leg when i was 12.
