White Bumps on Tattoo

6 messages · last activity 1/15/2007

Hello, I got my second tattoo almost 2 months ago, and ever since it peeled, one section of the tattoo has had white bumps (almost scab-like) on it. It's a black/red tribal design. It's on one section of the red part of the tattoo. I thought about it maybe being an allergic reaction to either the soap or the lotion I was using, but the rest of the tattoo looks great. It's on the inside of my left calf. My other tattoo is one the inside of my right calf. I've had that one over 2 years now, and nothing like this has happened. I've googled, but found nothing. I know it's not infected, and there's no itching or pain. Anyone have any ideas how to get rid of it?
that just reminded me, i had one of those. it was almost like a pimple or something.in one of my tattoos. its been there forever, ive had the tattoo for 2 years now and i just realized its gone, but i dont know what it is. or if its even the same kinda thing.
Thanks. Anyone else have any ideas?
this is normal, it happens often. ive never heard of them lasting for years though but during the tattoo healing its common. try switching up your lotion that your using but make sure it is non scented. I used lubriderm and I got white bumps all over my tattoo it just means your sensitive to something used during or after the tattoo process. Its nothin to worry about and if you are worried go back to the shop where you got it and ask them.
well mine would go away and come back in the same spot alot.
I have heard of people having an alergic reaction to the red ink before. They said the body incapsulated the red ink and then rejected it from the body. I have only heard of this with red ink.
