white splotch, arcgh

I just got my tattoo about 5 days ago. I took a picture on the very first night I got it, and I've just now looked hard at it, and it looks like he didn't finish an outline or something. I look at it now, and that same spot seems to have faded away even more. I'm not sure if this is because of the healing process (I've been using the open air + ointment method to keep it healing) or because he forgot to ink an outline the right way or not. If so, should I be running in to see him sometime soon?

Wait for it to completely heal first, then re assess it, if it still looks like there is some part of it missing, then go back, but take the photo of the first day with you in case he says that you picked at it or did not look after it.
