To Cross's defense, they are called "machines" and anybody who still calls them "guns" isn't very educated about the industry. I don't mean to come off as a dick at all, but tattooers know rule #1. Tattoo machines tattoo people, guns kill people. Most good, hand made machines run 250-300. When I say hand made, I mean literally built one by one, by a professional tattooer. Other assembaly line crap will run 100-200. However, Ryan Downey is an awesome tattooer from vegas and knows what he's doing. I haven't personally run his machines before, but he's a name in the industry you can trust. His tattoos and flash are awesome so I'd say go for it. A good tattoo machine is worth its wait in gold. Don't compromise saving 100 bucks and getting a crappy machine. But in the end, a tattoo machine is only as good as the tattooer who uses it. If a great machine was used by a tattooer who doesn't know how to tune it or has no idea how to run lines, the tattoo is still probably gunna suck.

Wow this got way off topic... I do not personally own any of Downey's machines as i build my own but i've heard nothing but good things about them. I would not recommend them if you have no idea what you are doing though, and like every other machine they will need your own tuning for your own preferences. I'll leave my own opinions of superior equipment alone. Everyone else save your own private issues for another time and place, they don't help anyone.
