18 messages · last activity 12/12/2005

i got a small tattoo of HEART on my hip near my pantie line.. the guy told me i hade to remove my pants and underwear. i felt very uncomfortable. why do you tattoo artist make girls do this. i was told by my girls that this shop does this all the time. i am mortified. i will never get another tattoo..
CALL YOUR LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT AND HEALTH OFFCIALS..
That is really unheard of. Whover this artist is that made you do that is probablly a pervert. I work at a local shop in missouri and we have never had to remove anyones pants, especially underwear. I would suggest never going back to that shop, and would tell people to never go back there with your reason. Peace.... Tim
Absolutely, I agree with what everyone else said. That was not professional at all and unfortunately, there are dirtbags that will try to get away with whatever they can. Hopefully this won't deter you from going to a quality establishment in the future because trust me, the true professionals would never do that to you. Definitely report them to the police, local licensing board, and spread the word, word of mouth is great promotion, and demotion as well.
Call the police and alert everyone you know that goes to this shop. DO NOT LET THIS PASS THE AUTHORITIES
Definitely thin the herd, call the cops...this kind of pervert will do nothing good for the industry..
very sorry you had such a mortifiing experince.but i have heard of the pantie removal before and for the ONLY REASON IS PLACEMENT OF THE TATTOO! not because of the free peeep show even when i do a breast tattoo i keep it professinoal.as a pro artist myself ive had girls ask me if they should take there pants off and ive never said yes unless again for placement of tattoo and even then i would offer a towel or lap cloth to keep there dignity.ass nine moronic maggot shit sucking jerks like this is what give those of us that maintain a professinal and safe enviroment a huge black eye.i make it a general policy for me to have a friend or other employee there when doing a intimate tattoo for the protection of not only myself but for the comfort of the client.yes please contact the police over this matter and then get a attorney and file a sexual harassment suit and whatever you can drum up with let everyone know what has happened.just do not faticialy make any false statements.i would like to know the name of this place if you could either e mail me in private or on the board thats up to you but i am currently looking for guest spots to tattoo and i do not want to be even remotely assoiated with these grabastic maggot scum sucking asshole please stay strong and do not let this detour you from finding a good respecteable tattoo shop best of luck (don)
Question: If you were so mortified and there was no logical reason to have you remove your pants and panties, WHY DID YOU DO IT? Your question was: "Why did I have to take my pants off?" The answer is: Because as long as people like you do such things, perverts posing as tattooists will require you to do so. If you went to a doctor to get your tonsils checked, and he asked to stick his finger up your vagina, would you allow it? Are you afraid to question people? Are you afraid to use logic? Some tattoos REQUIRE you remove clothes...we can't tattoo THROUGH your clothes, and I don't have enough hours in a day to cater to shyness and have to "hold your clothing out of the way"...you just get rid of them, and it allows you to do the tattoo properly, unrestricted, and unhindered by obsticles. Any decent tattooists will have a towel, or a cover of some kind to use, when possible. But if the tattoo does not require the clothing to be removed for any of those reasons, and you decide to do so, anyway, I have to say, you ought to start speaking up, or do not be surprised when you are taken advantage of by morons like that. You are telling the wrong people, here....you should have told the asshole you stripped in front of.
While I agree with the fact that this shouldn't have happened, i pose the same question as the person above me...if it made you so uncomfortable and you were mortified from it, WHY DID YOU DO IT IN THE FIRST PLACE??? The guy should definatly be stopped if it is a peep show, but at the same time, why the hell did you take them off if you didn't want to? You put urself out there, so i dun see how you are so mortified.
i do agree with the 2 post above me but the first thought that comes to my mind is age.just how young is this person now i am not trying to degrade or any nature thing like that but i have seen some people that are of the younger generation that are just nieve to things, and very guliable.the fact remains that the artist has done this to more than just one person and it has all been females.remember when you were young (for those of us over 30) also think about it most people trust the artist and they most of the time will not question the artist just as most of us do not question the doctor as much as we probably should. caught up in the moment thinking well i really dont want to do this but if you say it needs to be done then well ok.afterthought hits in adrenilian goes down and reality hits.just a thought be honnest guys just how many of us males have at least tried to take advantage of the nieve part to get that kiss from the girl.ya know the male ego shit we all have human nature for us.but i feel that this was taken too far.one good thing is she wasnt druged up raped or even worse had her life taken lots of different folks in this world, for sure also just how old was the artist 20s 30s 40s what interesting very interesting.i have on more than one occasion told the client dont be afraid to say no i do not like the placement of this tattoo or we need to change this or that they just say well ok yeah looks good and then a week later they come back and say oh i wanted it tilted just a little more to the right or left or something yes she should have spoken up.
When you say near the panty line are we talking above or below. You could of gone prepared with skimpy pants to allow for the work to be carried out with out removal and if it was a case of him asking you to remove the pants so he does not splash ink on them you could of said it does not matter as they are old. Me personally regarding pants and bra's I keep the client informed of what I am about to do including I tell them that I am about to tuck a cloth or tissue under the bra strap or pant line to protect the clothes, I then ask if it will be ok. Its all about being courteous.
the tattoo was above but close to my waste line were my underwear start.the guy wanted me to take my pants and underwear off. i didnt want to take my pants off. i refused. they already had my money. the guy was big and scary.he said he cant tattoo me with atleast my pants on. he said it was going get in his way when he did the tattoo.. it was a $60 heart. he told me since he opened his packets of neddles he wouldnt refund me my money. i was pressured. the guys also kept asking me to see a johnny cash movie. i was just so upset i did it. im sorry. i just wanted to know if this was valid. alot of my girls went there and the same guy harrassed them.. i understand that if i picked a lower area on the body or a semitrical design i may need to remove my pants for access or to unrestrict my flesh to that the tattoo is straight., but it was on my hip near the waste as i stated before.. i appreciate your insite. thanx. i will call my local prosecutors office.
No doubt, i'm sorry this happened to you. Like everyone else stated, this isnt a common occurance in tattoo studios. 'Artists' like that give the rest of us a bad name. Its bad enough that tattooists have (in the past) been stereotyped as big scary bikers, we dont need perverts ruining for everyone else in the business. Personally, i've tattooed that area on my clients many times and never had to go that far, or anywhere even close to that. Granted, some situations require an article of clothing to be removed or placed somewhere else (within reason) to get the job done. The general non-heavily tattooed public often gets offended when we tell them that something has to be taken off. Your judgement should kick in right about then and you should ask your artist WHY exactly your pants 'need to come completely off' instead of just moved aside.
I'm sorry i'm alittle lost at first you said your pants and underware had to come off then later you said he would not do it unless aleast your pants came off. now did you remove them all the way or just pull them down to your thighs, knees or ankles. #2 you also said your "girls" were harrased by this guy in the past as well. knowing this why did you go to him. PICK A NEW PLACE. I guess i cant be on anyones side here because I've heard only one side of the storie. I'm sorry you feel this way about getting anothere tattoo and the one you just got. Tattoos should be fun to get.If you think he was in the wrong than you should inform whoever you need to but i would get my storie straight.
Sorry to sound like i'm stereotyping, but if your tattoo is where your underwear go, it's not your waist line. Your waist line is by your belly button dear, not a few inches above 'the goods'
The world is a cold, mean place. You need to learn to take care of yourself, or you weren't meant to go on and procreate. As I said above...if logic would dictate to a rational person that you would need to remove your clothes, then that's the breaks! If logic dictates it isn't necessary, DONT DO IT. If he insisted, you could have left, and went to the law at that point. If he refused to refund your money, and he was being a pervert, and there was no logical reason to remove your pants and panties, the law would have got him to return your money. From what I have heard so far, I am reluctant to jump to the conclusion that the guy did anything wrong. I doubt a prosecuter will be interested, either.
" it was a $60 heart. he told me since he opened his packets of neddles he wouldnt refund me my money. " Total BS, but given the rest of the story no surprise...I can't imagine the needles costing more than about $5, and that's if they had to be thrown away...he didn't even use them so he could have just put em back in a pouch to re-sterilize them with the next batch...if he in fact has an autoclave...yikes! This happened in a shop? This is why I want to learn as much as I ethically can before I approach a possible mentor...
I AGREE WITH BOTH SIDES. I CAN UNDERSTAND HOW SHE MAY HAVE FELT PUSHED INTO A CORNER, BUT YOU SHOULD HAVE HAD A FRIEND TO THERE TO TELL YOU "HEY THATS NOT RIGHT" AND AS FAR AS MONEY GOES KEEP I WOULD HAVE SAID KEEP IT YOUR NOT GETTING A PEEP SHOW AND WALKED OUT AND BROUGHT THE POLICE BACK. I AM GETTING A TATTOO ON MY LOWER BACK AND I KNOW TO WEAR LOOSE PANTS B/C THEY HAVE TO BE PULLED DOWN A LITTLE AND A COLTH WILL BE PUT OVER MY BOTTOM, DO YOUR REASERCH ON THE NEXT TATTOO, AND THE PLACE BEFORE YOU GO AGAIN. NEXT TIME BE SMART, NOT NIEVE.SOMETIMES PEOPLE LIKE YOU MAKE OTHERS NOT WANT TO GET THEM, AND TATTOO ARTIST BAD NAMES.
