with concent

I am a mom of a 17 year old that would like to get a tattoo. I was wondering where in Las Vegas there is a place i can take her to get one done with my concent.

Are there laws against tattooing minors there? Around here, I don't think there are any rules at all governing age and tattoos/piercings... however, most places DO require your parents signature, or presence to allow you to get tattooed... But, even at that, there are a few places that DON"T ask for proof of age, or parents to be there, etc....I got my fist tattoo when I was 14, and wasn't asked for id, etc. And my cousin TOOK her daughter to get her first tattoo when she was 14, and had to sign some forms, etc. So, i guess it is different everywhere. As a mother, i would hope that NO one would ever tattoo my daughter without my permission (if she was a minor.. heck, i am not EVER going to let her get tattooed!).... Along those same lines however... I find it odd that you have to be licensed to cut hair in a shop... but, you DON"T have to be licensed to tattoo, or pierce someone....hmm...

all else fails go on a road trip across the border to AZ... you can be as young as 14 (scary thought) to get tattoo'd here, but research the shops. i don't know if the respectable shops are as lenient as the state&county laws allow.

We never advise any parents to sign for underage kids. In many states its 100% illegal, and while I dont like the law stepping in where its not necessary, I do believe that people should wait. We suggest early twenties, it takes a bit of learning about art appreciation to get a good piece of art on your body... What does your daughter want for a tattoo?

i wouldnt sign consent for my kid to get a tattoo...besides the permanence factor...what you get at 18 is NOT what you're gonna want at 28 much less 38....but they HURT! why would i sign him/her up for unnecessary pain?? i told my kid to get something pierced...those are fairly temporary would it be rude to ask your age, mom?

From personal experience i extremly wish i had waited to get a few of my tattoos i got a few when i was 15 and 16 that not only would i not have gotten now, but my body was still growing in a couple years they were unrecognizable i had both covered up. tattoos on young kids are a dumb fucking idea and any tattoo artist who would tattoo someone as young as 14 should be stomped

In responce to the person asking my age .... i am 39 and my daughter has had multiple piercings and is very smart for her age . I have always trusted her decisions so far in life and she has always made good ones. Fortunately for me she is one of the few that realizies what she is doing at her age.

tell her no and that she can permanently mark herself with garbage when she turns 18. tell her to wait until at least her early mid 20s.

her being smart for her age doesnt mean she isnt going to regret it. i regret some of my tattoos. i couldnt wait to turn 18 to get a tattoo. and when i did.. i didnt want that one anymore, so i waited 3 years, and piercings are alot dfifferant then tattoos, piercings can easily be taken out. with nothing but a lil scar. id get her to wait till she was 18,

I might have been considered smart for my age, at least I was living on my own sice 14-15... got some real thought out tattoos too at 17, 18, and 19... all getting lasered. Most reputable tattoo artists wont tattoo kids under 18 with or without consent cause they are too busy with adult clients. What does your daughter want for a tattoo?

she wants a tribal cum catcher, a flower, butterfly, some stupid 2 word phrase in a language she doesn't understand, sparrow, or a heart. i think that covers nearly all the bases on stupid girl tattoos.

Congratulations on looking like a right arse Bob, your right as young women we can't think of getting anything apart from butterflys. Maybe you should keep your insults to yourself. About letting your daughter get a tattoo at 17 she really doesn't have to wait to long before she can get the tattoo without needin consent. Ask her to consider waiting. In the end though it's your call.

Based in my experience I would say that I think the best age starts on the early 30's unless you get traditional work on your skin. All the tattoos I got before my 30's are being lasered and will be covered with solid and readable tattoos. When I was 18 I wanted to show my "rebel spirit" by getting "unique style" tattoos, and now I wish I would never have gotten them. I would advise my children (when I have it) to get big and well placed tattoos, I think that is very important to get medium-to-big and well applied tattoos, as I got bored of the small ones really soon.
