hey guys, next month im getting my first tattoo, and i've cut it down to four seperate ideas, the first is getting a beach sunset on my right hip, my second is getting one of the following mc escher pieces http://www.math.utah.edu/~lars/mathart/artpix/Escher-Gravity.jpg http://aaronbaird.net/pictures/Escher/Tetrahedral_planetoid.jpg http://aaronbaird.net/pictures/Escher/Double_planetoid.jpg the first one i know i could get, the second two im not sure about, the one i want to get the most is the double planetoid, but im not sure if thats to much detail? would an artist be able to replicate that? (or the middle one, tetrhaderal planetoid) im getting it done at AAA tattoos, by troy lane in miami www.prickmag.net/troylanefeature.html
You would have to get those pieces pretty big to do them justice. Troy may be able to draw something up custom form those ideas I bet... Something that fits a body part the right size using those pics as reference... Pretty awesome effect, should look really cool wrapped around something... Let us know how it goes, your in for a great tattoo. We can start recommending troy for folks in mami, I dont know too many Maimi tattoo artists.
thanks for the response, much appreciated. troys stuff is sick i was thinking about getting it on my upper back, no circle tho, just the planet, and then either like a sunset (all color no outlines) comming out the sides, or tribal comming out the sides. where do you think would be a good place to get it?
I love the sunset idea, not so keen on adding tribal to it. If you want it replicated, then the back as large as you can would be the way to do it I think (to get as much detail as possible). Really, though, you best bet will be to talk with Troy about his ideas and what he thinks he can do with it and/or where he wants to go with it. Its good to get some rough ideas together, but his input is the most important...
thanks, yea im gonna go in a couple of weeks when i got some cash and talk to him about it. 2 questions 1. how much do you think it'd cost? 2. troy lane is a very good tattoo artist right? only lately i've been getting into tattoing alot and im pretty sure im making the right choice
Troy does really solid traditional, and asian work..i haven't seen alot of detailed work from him...but i'm sure he can pull it off.. [email removed] does detailed work..And [email removed] is good with detailed work..And [email removed] also www.steviemoon.com
