Wow... Nobody can help me

Ok... So I got a big tattoo of a crimson ghost on my forearm. Its quite large... Anyway, the tattoo came out looking great. It healed up without incident. The problem? When it finished healing, I developed what I thought was an ingrown hair on the edge. A day after, the thing I thought was an ingrown hair began to swell and fill with puss. So, I went to the doctor. She put my ass on antibiotics and told me not to touch it. So....... The next day, I was cleaning it (as per instructed) and it bursted open. Pussy oozy shit spewed from it. Now, I have what seems to be a cist like core of puss hanging half way out of my arm. It will not come out. The antibiotics... Pffffh. They havnt done much. So, I guess what I'm wondering is this- A) Have you guys seen this shit before B) If you have experience with this, is there anything more I can do? I don't want my arm to rot half off. This is really kind of freaky. No one around here seems to know what to tell me, artist included. Please, if you have any advice, let me have it. I'd be eternally grateful, -Ross Coe
I'm not a doctor, so I wouldn't be able to give you medical advice. But if it were me, I would definitely go see a different doctor for further opinions.
a dermatologist may be in order here. some cist have a sack around them yes this could be a ingrown hair. keep it clean and stay on meds to help any bacterial growth. if drainage is a necesseity then dont over do it might want to put some triple antibiotic ointment on it to assit. but i agree go see a doc the sack may need to be removed. i had a ingrown sack on my head once there nothing to mess with on your own best of luck
sounds like a staph infection to me although i'm not a doctor. Have your doctor look into Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Especially seeing as how it occurred on or around the tattooed area of your body. This MRSA became quite the epidemic awhile back among prison inmates/guards, dirty tattooing practices. People can be carriers of this without knowing as well. And can transmit the disease through common contact even breathing , if I remember right. I believe but am not certain that boils are also a form of staph infection. Please keep in mind that we all carry staph on our bodies naturally. It's by not keeping clean that this staph can infect us. I'd get a doctors opinion here.
those were my thoughts too. go back to the doctor and tell him to test for staph
I watch this 3 yr old who occasionally gets these bumps. They start off loking like a zit, or an ingrown hair, then they keep getting bigger and bigger. It's a relevently new thing called MRSA... Not good. It usually hurts really bad and eventually needs to be cut open and drained. Doctors DO put you on antibiotics, it should helps tho. Another way to help it go away... Put a really hot wash cloth on it about 3 times a day. The heat is supposed to bring bacteria to the surface. And use triple hydrochlor.... Something. Its like neosporin, you can get it in any drug store. See if that helps.
